BeatBuddy Connect Privacy Policy

BeatBuddy Connect stores the following data locally on your device:

  • Training Programs: Custom interval programs you create are stored locally on your device.
  • Device Pairing Information: Bluetooth connection data to remember your BeatBuddy Pro device.
  • App Preferences: Your settings and preferences for the app interface.
  • Training History: Session logs and progress data (if enabled) are stored locally.

This data remains on your device and is not transmitted to our servers unless you explicitly choose to use cloud sync features (if available).

3. Bluetooth Communication

BeatBuddy Connect uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to communicate with your BeatBuddy Pro device. This communication is direct between your phone and the device - no data passes through external servers. The Bluetooth connection is used to transfer training programs, update device settings, and receive firmware updates.

4. Data We May Collect

To improve our products and services, we may collect anonymous, aggregated usage data such as:

  • App crash reports and error logs (to fix bugs)
  • General usage statistics (which features are used most)
  • Device type and operating system version (for compatibility)

This data is anonymized and cannot be used to identify you personally. You can opt out of analytics in the app settings.

5. Children's Privacy

BeatBuddy Connect does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app is designed to be safe for users of all ages, and parental guidance is recommended for younger users.

BeatBuddy Connect may use the following third-party services:

  • App Store / Google Play: For app distribution and updates.
  • Crash Reporting: To identify and fix app issues (anonymized data only).

We do not use third-party advertising or tracking services.
