Training Programs

Learn about the different training programs available in BeatBuddy Pro.
BeatBuddy Pro includes three standard training programs commonly used in competitive swimming. Each program is optimized for different training scenarios.

Standard Programs

The default training program, most commonly used for regular training sessions.

  • Standard interval workouts
Start with P1 if you're new to tempo training. It provides consistent intervals ideal for building rhythm awareness.

Selecting a Program

Power On

Press the center button to turn on your BeatBuddy Pro device.

Open Program Menu

Navigate to the program selection menu using the buttons.

Choose Program

Use the up/down buttons to browse between P1, P2, or P3.

Confirm Selection

Press the center button to confirm your choice and start training.

Feedback Modes

Audio Feedback

Clear beep sounds at set intervals. Best for outdoor training where visual cues may be missed.

Visual Feedback

LED indicator flashes in sync with tempo. Extends battery life compared to sound mode.

Haptic Feedback

Vibration pulses you can feel through your swim cap. Perfect for noisy pool environments.

Pro Tips

For Beginners: Start with P1 and a tempo of 1.30 seconds. Gradually adjust as you develop rhythm awareness.
Battery Saver: Use LED mode for sessions longer than 2 hours to maximize battery life (5-6 hours vs 2-3 hours in sound mode).
The screen automatically dims during active training to save power. This is normal behavior - the device is still tracking your tempo.
